Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES)/Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM)

The Johnson County ARES/AUXCOMM group is open to all licensed Amateur Radio operators.  You do not have to be an ARRL member to join.

We have a weekly training radio net every Thursday at 6:30 pm on the K5OO 147.045 (no tone) repeater located north of Clarksville, AR.  All Amateur Radio operators are invited to check-in.

  • NWS Basic Storm Spotter Training – April 22, 2024

    This class counts towards 2 hrs of certified training for Act 833.

    This class is open to the public and all emergency responders.
  • NWS Advanced Storm Spotter Training – April 21, 2023

    PLEASE NOTE: This class has been rescheduled from the original date of March 31 to April 21, 2023.
    
    Please note that this is the advanced Spotter Training.  You should have attended the basic Storm Spotter training or completed the online Storm Spotter training before attending.  This training will cover how to use and understand the different weather radar products.
