911 Addressing

The Johnson County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) is currently responsible for assigning new 911 addresses for any part of the county outside of the city limits of Clarksville. The Johnson County ECC GIS/911 Addressing Office is located in the basement of the Johnson County Courthouse near the Department of Emergency Management. You may pick up the New 911 Address Request Form from either the 911 Addressing Office or the Department of Emergency Management in the basement of the Johnson County Courthouse during normal business hours. The New 911 Address Request Form can also be downloaded below:
If you are able to provide the following information when filling out the form it will typically speed up the process of getting your new address assigned:
  • GPS coordinates for the end of the driveway
    • This is where the driveway meets an existing state, county, or numbered private road
  • GPS coordinates for the structure needing a new address
  • The existing addresses on both sides of the location needing a new address
If you are not able to provide the above information when filling out the New 911 Address Request Form, you will be provided a numbered flag to place at the end of the driveway (or where the driveway will be) and we will come out and collect the GPS coordinates for you.

You may call the Johnson County ECC GIS/911 Addressing Office at (479) 774-6111 from 9:00am till 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
