The Johnson County Burn Ban put in place at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026 has been lifted.
Johnson County Judge Herman Houston has lifted the Burn Ban for Johnson County effective at 9:00 AM today, Friday, October 2, 2026.
Residents are urged to use caution and use appropriate protective measures when burning. It is the responsibility of the person starting any burns to maintain control and ensure it is safe to burn in their particular area before starting any burning.
Remember, all controlled burns must be called into the Johnson County Emergency Communications Center at 479-774-6911 before starting the burn and burns should be supervised at all times.
