JOHNSON COUNTY WEATHER, EMERGENCY, & GENERAL ALERTS
Johnson County has replaced our previous OnSolve CodeRED notification system with Genasys GEM. This is the system that Johnson County uses to alert citizens to weather alerts, emergency situations, and other notifications. Even if you were signed up in CodeRED, please visit the Johnson County Genasys GEM registration portal to verify that you are in the new system and that all your information is up-to-date. Many CodeRED users did not transfer to the Genasys GEM system due to privacy settings on their CodeRED account.
There are 4 ways you can get registered:
- http://gem.jcdem.org (this redirects to the above website)
- Text “JCAlerts” (without quotes) to 65513
- Be sure to visit the returned link to set up your location information or you will not get accurate alerts.
- Scan the QR Code below:
NOTE: You must enter location information to get weather alerts! Locations may be added under the “Locations” menu item after you register.
Please call the Johnson County Department of Emergency Management office at (479) 754-6383 if you need help.
YOU WILL NO LONGER GET ALERTS FROM CodeRED. PLEASE VERIFY YOU ARE IN THE GENASYS GEM SYSTEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
